Niddrie & Craigmillar Community Festival

We’d like to let you know about the Craigmillar and Niddrie Community Festival this weekend (14th and 15th August). There’s a fantastic programme with a whole range of activities, events, and performances on both days for people of all ages, and it is all free. We’d also like to share and celebrate the fantastic art work of pupils from Castlebrae which is now on display on the hoardings by the library around the new school created as an exhibition for the festival. There are 23 art panels, and a large history panel, both based on Craigmillar Then and Now, marking 100 years since it joined the boundary of Edinburgh. These will become permanent pieces in the new high school.
There will also be free copies of an A to Z booklets of Craigmillar and Niddrie that Castlebrae pupils made. These. An he collected from the Greenhouse on Niddrie Mains Road on Saturday and Sunday 10-5pm this weekend
Also, do sign up to the Craigmillar festival parade this weekend, which starts at Bridgend Farmhouse at 11am, passing the Craigmillar high flats at 11.30am and ending outside the library. Sign up via ; craigmillarfest@gmail.com
