In English, we aim to create an inclusive environment in which students develop their curiosity and enjoy taking an active part in their lessons. Throughout the Broad General Education and Senior Phase, we aim to develop the skills of reading, writing, talking and listening which are fundamental for success in exams and the world of work.
We work closely with the school librarian and community to promote a love of reading and we have a tradition of welcoming authors to the school to enthuse our young people.
The teachers in the English Department are passionate subject specialists who enjoy motivating our young people.
